I created the MovieMax ad format as a fullscreen video takeover.
When it loads it pushes the page content down below the fold and displays a fullscreen video player.
The video autoplays when it loads, with a large unmute button located in the corner of the screen to enable audio.
As the user scrolls down the page the video will fade out, and it pauses when it entirely leaves the viewport.
If the video scrolls back into view again then it will resume.
The video is overlaid by a large CTA button and a SKIP button, which will autoscroll the user to the start of the publisher’s content.
