I was tasked with creating the revamped Pictela.com website, bringing it in line with existing Aol-owned trade sites.
The new site was to use Aol’s Blogsmith CMS platform and be fully responsive with extensive cross-browser support.
I designed the new site in Photoshop and Illustrator, providing some of my own photography for the visual elements. Taking an existing css framework used on other AOL sites, I customised and adapted it, creating new Blogsmith modules for each site section so that individual elements such as gallery slides and partnered companies could be managed via the CMS admin area.
I connected the contact form to Salesforce, so all queries could be automatically forwarded to the correct regional sales person.
The documentation and support section was originally built on Blogsmith too, with custom responsive navigation menus and formatted code samples using PrismJS.
After launch we decided to use Uservoice as our support platform, so transferred all support pages into knowledgebase articles and I redesigned the Uservoice front-end to fit with the rest of the Pictela site.
I designed the Formats section to show all available ad formats in the Pictela platform, and the Gallery section contained a selection of example ads.
